Our History

Killarney Vale Australian Football Club was formed in 1978 and entered into the existing Central Coast Australian Football League.

For its entire history the Bombers have been based at Adelaide St Oval.

The Bombers won their first Senior premiership in 1979 in Reserve Grade, with the club winning its maiden First Grade premiership in 1981.

At the end of the 1999 CCAFL Season it merged with the Newcastle AFL to form the Black Diamond AFL which it remained until 2019 when the AFL took over the competition and is now known AFL Hunter/Central Coast.

In 2016, the club fielded it's first Women's team which has now expanded to two teams.

Killarney Vale AFC boasts one of the largest largest junior bases in the Hunter/Central Coast with over 300 registered players from Auskick through to Under 17’s in both Boys and Girls competitions.

The Bombers are one of the most successful clubs in the region with 8 x Men's First Grade, 1 x Women's 1st Grade and 6x Men's Reserve Grade Premierships to go along with 57 Junior Premierships
